Ashwagandha oil: Different skin infections such as psoriasis, ezcema, atopic dermatitis, leucoderma, scabies, etc. cause inflammation and irritation in your skin. Ashwagandha, with its anti-inflammatory and wound healing activity, helps to fight such inflammatory skin allergies by repressing C-reactive protein levels.
Ashwagandha is found to be a potential protecting agent against skin inflammation. Also, ashwagandha aids in the regeneration of healthy skin cells. It can also be used in treating bruises and cuts for its fast healing activity.
Bulgarian Lavender: The therapeutic properties of Bulgarian lavender are amplified due to its high linalool and linalyl acetate content. These terpenes are widely known to reduce stress, fight inflammation, relieve depression, and realign the immune system, making it the number one choice for calming blends and for diffusing during meditation and massage.
Castor oil: Castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce swelling and puffiness. It could reduce the size of inflamed pimples or eye bags as well. Its moisturizing properties keep your skin looking young, shiny, and healthy.
Cocoa butter: Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it’s often touted for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin and improve elasticity. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture. Cocoa butter is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These substances may improve blood flow to the skin and slow skin aging by protecting against damage from the sun’s harmful UV rays. One common use of cocoa butter is to smooth scars, wrinkles, and other marks on the skin. Many women believe cocoa butter creams and lotions can be used during and after pregnancy to prevent and minimize the appearance of stretch marks. Cocoa butter has also been promoted to heal rashes from conditions like eczema and dermatitis.
Coconut oil: In addition to its effects on acne and inflammation, applying coconut oil to your skin can also help keep it hydrated. A study comparing the effects of olive oil and coconut oil in 52 adults with eczema found that applying coconut oil helped reduce dryness, in addition to helping treat eczema Another study found similar results, showing that coconut oil led to a 68% decrease in eczema severity, making it significantly more effective than mineral oil in the treatment of eczema. Keeping your skin hydrated can help preserve its function as a barrier to keep out bacteria, promote the healing of scars and maintain overall skin integrity.
Colloidal oatmeal: Colloidal Oatmeal has been used for centuries to soothe dry, itchy skin. Its content of unique antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant chemicals called avenanthramides boost both skin and overall health.
Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is a humectant. This means that it works to attract water to the top layer of the skin, helping to keep the skin hydrated. This may help prevent bacterial infections, acne, and dandruff from forming.
Lanolin butter: Lanolin oil is known as an emollient, which means it helps soothe dry or dehydrated skin. A 2017 study indicated that lanolin can reduce water lost through the skin by 20 to 30 percent. Simply put, lanolin is extremely hydrating and has the ability to soften skin to help improve the appearance and the feel of rough, dry, or flaky areas.
Neem oil: Neem oil comes from the seed of the tropical neem tree, also known as Indian lilac. Neem oil has a wide history of use as a folk remedy around the world, and has been used to treat many conditions. Neem oil may also be used to treat the symptoms of psoriasis, eczema, and other disorders of the skin.
(Neem oil is a powerful oil and not suitable for use by children. Before using neem oil on a child, consult with your doctor. Studies have not been done to establish whether neem oil is safe to use during pregnancy, so it’s best to avoid it if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.)
Pomegranate seed oil: Contains Omega 5 (punicic acid), Omega 9 (oleic acid), Omega 6 (linoleic acid), and palmitic acid, making it one of the frontrunners in anti-inflammatory skincare.
This naturally occurring chemical combination soothes the skin, is easily applied to sensitive skin types and penetrates the epidermis without irritating it. At the interior level, it helps with joint pain and can reduce swelling. It’s also commonly used to help relieve skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis and can soothe sunburn.
Vitamin E oil: Praised as an antioxidant, vitamin E helps your body in a number of other ways, such as helping your immune system and helping keep vessels healthy.
